One of the largest events in the region for world leaders

One of the leading events for best practices in fields contributing to the development of the contemporary society, the World Business Assembly Leaders Conference and the Aristotle Award Ceremony took place on March 22, 2015 at the Four Seasons Hotel Istanbul at the Bosporus. The same hotel has also hosted G20 meetings before.

To get an idea of the scale of the event, it is necessary only to mention that participants from 35 countries took part in the World Business Assembly Leaders Conference and the Aristotle Award Ceremony as the guests were prominent businessmen, academics, politicians, diplomats and professors. Even more impressive was the number of the participants – more than 1,000 world leaders gathered in one place at the same time with a common goal!

Yasemin Öney Cankurtaran, businesswoman and politician, opened the Conference in her capacity of an organizer with a speech that presented world problems and prompted further discussions by outlining the topics of the Conference and giving examples of best practices provided by the participants. She was followed by the prominent Turkish politician and party leader of CHP Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu. CHP is the second largest party in Turkey with 134 deputies in the Parliament. He discussed the problems of developing countries and emphasized the importance of science which educates people, creates jobs, increases production and fosters technology development.

Not surprisingly, the World Business Assembly Leaders Conference and the Aristotle Award Ceremony enjoyed wide media coverage. There were 23 televisions which were shooting the event live. Online media and newspapers also showed their interest in the event. News about the World Business Assembly Leaders Conference and the Aristotle Award Ceremony appeared in 107 newspapers and news portals. Most of them put the event as leading news.
